PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

Luke 18:1 “…men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

KEYWORD: We must understand that whenever God speaks, He speaks from a finished point—it is already done!

Consistent, unwavering prayer is a necessity, especially when dealing with matters concerning others’ choices and beliefs. There are situations in life where you pray once, and that is enough. But there are other situations, especially those involving the will and decisions of others—where persistence in prayer is required. The Word of God teaches us about different kinds of prayers and the principles that govern them.
For example, there are times when God has spoken a word to you, and your spirit bears witness with it, yet it hasn’t manifested physically. You don’t just fold your hands and say, “God has said it, and that settles it.” No! You must engage in consistent, persistent prayer—fighting the good fight of faith, laying hold of that very word, birthing it in your spirit, gaining a note of victory in your heart, and then, when that victory is secured, begin to give glory and praise to the God of heaven, who never fails in His word—until it comes to pass (1 Timothy 6:12).
We must understand that whenever God speaks, He speaks from a finished point—it is already done! However, when dealing with matters concerning others, especially when their wrong choices and beliefs are involved, you don’t just pray once and stop. You must continue in prayer, interceding for them until the change is evident. You must rebuke the adversary, the one who blinds their eyes and minds, preventing them from seeing and receiving truth. He deceives them into perceiving wrong as right and light as darkness.
As a Christian, you are called to dominate in the spirit—you must never be on the defensive, reacting to the devil’s schemes. Instead, you must be on the offensive in the place of prayer and at all times against the tricks of the devil. Apply or use the principles of God’s Word against the adversary until he lets go, and transformation takes place! You are not negotiating; you are enforcing the will of God concerning their lives! And while you pray, you must also see the change in that person in the spirit—you must envision them transformed, yielded, walking in the light of Christ. In anticipation, you must continually thank God for the fulfilment of what you have declared over them. This is faith in action—calling things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).
Thanksgiving is a powerful force in spiritual warfare! It is not just a sign of gratitude but a weapon that secures victory. When you thank God in advance, you seal the reality of what you have prayed for. It shifts your focus from the natural to the supernatural, aligning your faith with the finished work of Christ. So when you pray, don’t waver! Persist, declare, and give thanks until you see the fulfilment and establishment of all that you have prayed for. The adversary may try to resist, but he cannot withstand a praying Christian who refuses to back down! Victory is sure when you persist in prayer and firmly hold on to the Word of God. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Dear heavenly Father, I thank You for breaking the hold of darkness over the lives of our loved ones who are yet to come to the knowledge of Christ. I see the gospel and prayers of faith penetrating their hearts, bringing them under the influence of the Word and Spirit. Amen.
