TAKE CHARGE BY THE SPIRIT (II)

2 CORINTHIANS 10:4–5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

KEYWORD: Prayer is not something you do once in a while; it is a spiritual posture you live by.

The spiritual forces that seek to govern human lives and experiences have not changed. Their agenda remains the same: to gain control over men through deception and darkness. This is why, as a Christian, you must maintain a consistent prayer life, not a casual or occasional prayer routine. Prayer is not something you do once in a while; it is a spiritual posture you live by.
As was shared in the previous devotional, I trained myself to pray in the early hours of the day. During one of those mornings, while praying in tongues, the Lord opened my spiritual eyes to perceive the frequency of witchcraft operations moving within the environment. As I continued praying, the glory of God filled my room—an experience that had become familiar whenever I prayed deeply in the Spirit.
While praying, I began to see certain operations of darkness being reversed. It dawned on me that every atmosphere is vulnerable to wickedness when God is not actively involved. From my spirit-not from fear or emotion-I began to declare that every witchcraft operation in the environment was suspended.
This was not a prayer of “who is against me,” because we grow beyond that level in Christ. This is one of the reasons praying in tongues is vital. As I prayed, authority did not flow from my intellect or emotions but directly by the Spirit of God.
Hear this clearly: it is not every time you pray “whoever is against me” that God is speaking. Many times, that is the believer speaking from the senses. But when you pray in the Spirit, remaining attentive, yielded, and sensitive, evil operations are revealed, and divine wisdom is released to counter them. That is what it truly means to take charge by the Spirit.
While I was still praying, I felt I had concluded, but the Lord said to me, “You are not done.” He revealed that there were several idol-worship priestesses in the environment who functioned as gateways for demonic activity, manipulating lives through altars. In the Spirit, the Lord led me to deal with those altars, casting out the spirits responsible for the oppression. I saw the demonic activities cease, and those systems of bondage came to an end.
In the days that followed, some of the altars were mysteriously destroyed, and families who had long been bound experienced freedom. From that moment, I understood deeply that prayer truly changes things, and I have never treated my prayer time casually again. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace that empowers me to take charge by the Spirit. I receive grace today to remain consistent in prayer. I choose to pray by the Spirit and not from my senses. As I pray in tongues, help me receive divine signals and wisdom to address the matters You desire me to handle. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
