DEUTERONOMY 18:10 “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.”
KEYWORD: Grace does not lead us into compromise; it empowers us to live rightly before God.
There are many lies and deceptions spreading in our time, and they are gradually finding their way into the body of Christ. Many believers are beginning to accept things that Scripture has clearly warned against. Sometimes you hear statements like, “Heaven helps those who help themselves,” and you begin to ask: where did that come from? Certainly not from the Word of God.
The Bible makes us understand that in the last days, seducing spirits will influence many, promoting teachings that draw people away from the truth. These ideas are often well-packaged and appealing, and when believers are not grounded in Scripture, they can begin to accept error without realizing it. As 1 Timothy 4:1 says,“Some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
The truth is, you cannot walk in the light and still participate in practices rooted in darkness. Many have not taken time to study the Scriptures deeply to understand why God gave certain instructions to His people. In the Book of Deuteronomy 18:14, we are reminded that the nations outside of God’s covenant practiced divination and similar acts, but God clearly separated His people from such things. This shows us that God’s standard has always been clear: His people are to be distinct.
We must not assume that because we are under grace, we can live without discernment. Grace does not lead us into compromise; it empowers us to live rightly before God. You cannot claim to follow Christ and at the same time hold on to practices or beliefs rooted in spiritual darkness. God is calling for a people who will walk fully in His truth. You cannot be a Christian and still be governed by ideologies rooted in the kingdom of darkness, whether through new age practices or any form of satanic influence. You must come out completely and follow Christ. There is no middle ground. God detested it then, and He still detests it now. The era of grace does not nullify the authority and potency of the Scriptures. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word dwelling richly in my spirit. I refuse to be deceived by the spirits of the last days or fall into the traps of the enemy. I am guided by Your Word and led by Your Spirit. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
