2 CORINTHIANS 1:19–20 “For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
KEYWORD: Beloved, no matter what excuses men may raise this year to reject Christ, we must use the Scriptures to show them why they need Him.
Seeing now that all nations need Jesus, we are faced with the task of correcting the lies and misconceptions that many have believed about God. Some have heard only of how terrible and fearsome He is, and so they say they want nothing to do with Him. The truth is, yes, our God is fearsome and terrible but not to His children. That dimension of His nature is revealed only to enemies and demons who defy His laws. Surprisingly, this very aspect of His being is necessary, for it becomes a defence for His children when the enemy rises against them (see Jeremiah 20:11).
Others say, “God would never want me; I’ve done too much wrong in my life.” Yet Scripture makes it clear that God is not imputing trespasses to us anymore (see 2 Corinthians 5:19). Through the death of Jesus, we have been absolved of sin and now stand ready to be cleansed from all unrighteousness if only we believe. No one is too lost to be found by Him, no one too dirty to be washed by His blood.
Still, there are those who boast, “I am rich; I have no need of God.” To such people, our answer must be that riches cannot shield anyone in the day of wrath. Wealth may bring comfort for a season, but when death knocks, no amount of money can deliver a soul. Only Jesus can save from destruction and grant eternal life.
Beloved, no matter what excuses men may raise this year to reject Christ, we must use the Scriptures to show them why they need Him. Show them why having Jesus is infinitely better than depending on gods, powers, riches, or fleeting sources. What began with the Jews must end with all nations embraced in the love and mercy of Christ. The Great Commission is not a suggestion; it is the heartbeat of God. The testimony of Jesus must ring across villages, towns, cities, and continents until the knowledge of the Lord fills the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
The nations may rage, philosophies may rise, and arguments may come against the gospel, but the Word of God remains the power that brings salvation. And you! Yes, you are a carrier of that message. You are God’s voice, His witness, and His ambassador among the nations. Let the fire in your heart burn for souls this year. Let your lips proclaim Jesus with boldness, and let your life radiate His glory until many are drawn to Him. Glory to God!
PRAYER:
Father, open my mouth with boldness to declare Your truth to all nations. Help me to counter every lie and misconception about You with the light of Your Word. May I be an instrument of reconciliation, leading men and women into the embrace of Christ’s love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
