2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
KEYWORD: When Jesus declared on the cross, “It is finished,” every limitation that could hinder us from functioning fully as sons and daughters of God was removed.
One thing every believer must be careful of is imbibing the patterns, ideologies, and systems of this world. The Bible clearly asks: what fellowship has light with darkness, or righteousness with lawlessness? You cannot marry God’s pattern for life with that of the world. It is like trying to mix oil and water, it simply cannot work. As much as we live and function in this world, we are not of the world; we are from above, from the heavenly realms, and this is the place from which we ought to operate.
One pervasive ideology today is the belief that life is a struggle, a constant fight filled with ups and downs, and that you can never have it all. This is a lie. There is no place in God’s plan for a believer to struggle—not in finances, health, spirituality, marriage, or even daily life. The first question is: do you truly know whom you are called to follow? God has finished and perfected everything concerning a believer in Christ. When He declared on the cross, “It is finished,” every limitation that could hinder us from functioning fully as sons and daughters of God was removed.
So, what area of your life feels like a struggle? The first step is to locate what God’s Word says about that area and address the situation with His Word in prayer. Praying in the Spirit is key, because, as Isaiah 28:12 shows us, rest comes to a weary soul in that place. God’s help will come as guidance; you will gain insight into the steps to take and see the outcome of things before they manifest because you have seen them in your spirit. Just like the opening verse says, walk in the confidence that God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His strength is made perfect in your weakness. Shalom.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace that is always sufficient for me. I receive Your strength to walk in victory over every area where the enemy has tried to make me struggle. I choose rest in Your Word and Your Spirit, trusting fully in Your guidance and power in Jesus’ name. Amen.
