1 CORINTHIANS 1:10-11 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.”

KEYWORD: We must stand united and with the same mind at all times and in all places, communicating only God’s intention to all men.

A house divided against itself cannot stand. When there is no teamwork, the common goal cannot be achieved, and this is exactly what Satan wants to see happen in the body of Christ this season. As believers, it is important that our judgement of matters is the same and that we work in perfect unity at all times. One thing we must understand is that the body of Christ is not a place to show off or prove ourselves wiser than another. This spirit, if it is operational in you, is not of Christ and must be cut off. Humility is the nature of the Holy Spirit. He, knowing all things, was willing to communicate only what the Father instructed to Jesus while He was on earth.

There was never a question of trying to outdo one another; instead, they worked together in perfect harmony to ensure that Jesus’ sacrifice achieved its ultimate purpose—the redemption of all mankind. Had contention been allowed to thrive, Satan might have succeeded in tempting Jesus. This is precisely what happens when we permit strife, anger, murmuring, and disputes to arise among us as brethren. Such discord creates loopholes for the devil to exploit, making it harder for us to stand against temptation. In this season, more than ever before, we must guard against division and strive for unity, ensuring that no space is given to the enemy.

We must stand united and with the same mind at all times and in all places, communicating only God’s intention to all men. From our dealings with each other in peace, many will be attracted to the Lord and seek to know Him better. It should not be heard that infighting thrives amongst the brethren. We have been called to follow peace with all men, and this we must do diligently. As we yield more to the Holy Spirit, He influences our hearts effortlessly and guides our thoughts and actions. He ensures that love becomes the foundation of every step we take in dealing with others. This leaves no room for the enemy to penetrate and sow seeds of strife or division among the brethren or within the body of Christ. Instead, unity will flourish, and the name of our Lord will be glorified forever. Glory to God!

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I am yielded to Your precious Holy Spirit and allow myself to walk in peace with the brethren. I refuse to walk in contentions but stand united with my brothers and sisters in Christ as we preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
