1 KINGS 18:45-46 “And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”

KEYWORD: When God becomes involved in a matter, it doesn’t matter how long it might delay; it will surely experience rapid progress.

The hand and grace of the Lord on you is not something you should take for granted. It is what makes the difference between labouring to achieve a thing and receiving it by favour. The hand of the Lord upon you causes His anointing to rest upon you and then propels you farther than you might have ever been able to move. It will elevate you above your enemies and even peers. It sets you apart and distinguishes you as one who has found great favour. From the opening scripture, we can see the anointing that came upon Elijah. Israel had been without rain for years, and on that day God was set to release upon the earth.

Seeing the clouds, Elijah warned King Ahab to ride ahead in his chariot. However, Elijah himself experienced firsthand what it meant to move by the Holy Spirit. God granted him supernatural speed, enabling him to outrun King Ahab, even though he was on foot. This is a clear sign that when God becomes involved in a matter, it doesn’t matter how long it might delay; it will surely experience rapid progress. Elijah was taken up by the anointing and arrived ahead of King Ahab. What is that concern that has kept you awake and unable to rest? What is that issue that has troubled your peace and made you suffer setbacks?
It is time to go into the Lord’s presence deliberately and allow His anointing to fill you up and take over. At this time, His hand upon you will give you speed and cause you to outrun both your peers and enemies. This season don’t disdain the speed and acceleration God can give you when you submit yourself to His Spirit. A lot must be accomplished by us, the church, and only by moving by His speed can we hope to do it. Refuse to give in to lying pressures. Trust God to give you grace and speed, and see how fast and easy you will accomplish all you’ve set your mind to do this season. Glory to God!

PRAYER:
Lord, Your anointing truly is what makes the difference in a man’s life. I refuse to struggle any longer. I open myself to walk in Your anointing every day of my life. As I do so, your wisdom and inspiration become the order of my life, causing me to succeed in all I have set my mind to do in Jesus’ name.

ESTHER 2:9
“And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king’s house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.”
