WHAT AWAITS YOUR FUTURE GENERATION? (II)

2 CHRONICLES 32:31 “Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.”

KEYWORD: When God permits a test, embrace it. Learn from it quickly and stand in prayer.
One thing that many believers forget so easily is this: God tries the hearts of His own. He examines both the disobedient and the sincere, not to destroy them, but to preserve and strengthen them, because the enemy is always on the prowl. These trials are like mock examinations given before the real test. They reveal weaknesses, blind spots and areas that need strengthening. They are not meant to destroy us but to prepare us.
Hezekiah experienced this. After God healed him and added fifteen extra years to his life, ambassadors from Babylon came to visit. Instead of being cautious, he opened up everything and showed them all the treasures in his house and in the temple. Pride and carelessness were exposed, and a prophecy of judgement came.
When the judgement concerned his life, he pleaded with tears, and God had mercy. But when the prophecy concerned his future generations, he did not intercede. He did not fight. He simply said, “At least there will be peace in my days.”
This is the cry of selfishness. He fought for himself, but he did not fight for his children. He sought his comfort, but he did not contend for his lineage.
Beloved, this is a warning and a lesson. Your decisions today can preserve or destroy your future seed. What you reveal, what you hide, what you pray about, and what you ignore all have generational consequences. When God permits a test, embrace it. Learn from it quickly. Stand in prayer. Do not seek peace for yourself alone. Fight for your children, your grandchildren and those who will carry your name after you. Pray not only for today but for tomorrow. Leave a heritage of righteousness and safety in the Lord. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for loving me enough to test and train my heart. I receive Your correction with humility. Strengthen me where I am weak, make me wiser and more discerning. Help me to live beyond myself. I intercede for my future generations. Preserve us by Your mercy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
