JOHN 3:16–17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
KEYWORD: The reason Jesus came, died, and resurrected was not only to save you from sin, but to restore you to your rightful place in God.
From the very beginning, God’s desire has always been to have fellowship with man. However, when sin entered through Adam, man became separated from God, and that intimate relationship was broken. Man became subject to sin, death, and the dominion of darkness. Yet, God, in His love and mercy, set in motion a divine plan for restoration. Jesus didn’t come merely to perform miracles and teach great truths; He came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world and restore man back to God. Sin was the barrier, and until it was dealt with, true fellowship could not be restored.
On the cross, Jesus bore the weight of sin and the judgment that was due to humanity. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Through His death, the power of sin was broken, and the penalty of sin was paid in full. Hallelujah!
If Jesus had only died, redemption would have been incomplete. His resurrection is the proof of victory: victory over sin, over death, and over the grave. As declared in Romans 4:25, He was “delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” The resurrection established a new life for every believer: a life of righteousness, dominion, and fellowship with God.
Through His resurrection, we are not only forgiven, we are made alive. We are no longer bound to the old nature, but empowered to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now dwells within us, enabling us to live victoriously. Therefore, the reason He came, died, and resurrected was not only to save you from sin, but to restore you to your rightful place in God. To walk with Him, to know Him, and to manifest His life here on earth. This is the gospel: not just escape from judgment, but restoration into relationship and transformation into His likeness.
Now the question is: are you living in the reality of what His death and resurrection have made available to you? Do not reduce His sacrifice to a moment of remembrance: live in the fullness of it daily. Walk in righteousness. Walk in fellowship. Walk in the victory He has already secured. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for the sacrifice He made on the cross, and the victory of His resurrection. Open my eyes to understand more deeply the power of His death and resurrection. Let this truth transform my thinking, my actions, and my pursuit of You. From today, I walk in victory, in righteousness, and in the fullness of life that Christ has made available to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ROMANS 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
1 JOHN 4:9–10 “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
