LED BY SPIRITUAL TRUTH

1 PETER 1:22 “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.”

KEYWORD: Being led by the Spirit and by truth is like having your soul constantly washed and refined, for the Spirit is pure and the Word is light.

A man is always led by something or someone. It may not be the same for everyone, but it is true for all. Some are led by ambition, others by fear. Some are carried by the opinions of men, while others are driven by selfish desires. But one truth remains constant: what leads you is just as important as the destination you’re heading toward. If the force guiding you is wrong, then no matter how appealing the path looks at the beginning, the end will always be misery, regret, and emptiness.
Think about it: no one ever stumbles into a destination by accident. Every man is where he is today because of the choices he made and the things he followed yesterday. Some wake up one day and suddenly realize, “This isn’t where I truly want to be.” Yet, if they trace their steps back, they will see clearly that their own decisions and influences brought them there.
The real question then is this: who or what can you follow to ensure that you arrive at a destination filled with joy, peace, and eternal fulfilment? Our opening scripture gives us the answer. It points us to both a Someone and a something: the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is the Person who leads, while the Word is the truth that guides. Together, they are the compass that keeps us from error and the map that directs us into God’s perfect plan.
When you look into the Scriptures, you don’t just see letters on a page; you encounter divine wisdom that the world can never offer. That wisdom shapes your decisions, purifies your motives, and aligns your steps with heaven’s order. When the Spirit takes those truths and breathes life into them within you, you become fruitful, purposeful, and pleasing to the Lord in all things. You grow in knowledge, walk in purity, and your love for the brethren becomes genuine and fervent.
Being led by the Spirit and by truth is like having your soul constantly washed and refined, for the Spirit is pure and the Word is light. Together, they illuminate your path, shield you from deception, and keep you rooted in righteousness. Only then can you be sure you will not be led astray, for the Spirit of Truth cannot lie, and the Word of Truth cannot fail. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the truth of Your Word. I choose to be led daily by Your Spirit and to walk in obedience to Your truth. My heart is purified, my steps are ordered, and I live in love towards the brethren. I will never walk in error but in Your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
