2 TIMOTHY 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
KEYWORD: The measure of your faithfulness is not in what you keep for yourself, but in how widely you sow the Word.
The gospel of Jesus is not meant to be hoarded, it is to be committed to faithful men: those who hear the Word, live by it, and are willing to share it. Receiving God’s Word is a privilege, but withholding it limits the impact God intends to release through you. As a believer, if you receive God’s Word and are blessed by it but do not extend it to bless others, you are not faithful to the Word. Sharing or spreading the Word is not just an act of obedience; it is an instrument through which God’s transformative power moves in society. The more you commit it to others, the greater your own spiritual growth and maturity, for teaching reinforces understanding and deepens your faith.
It is not the pastor’s duty alone to preach the Word of God, as many believe. The pastor impacts the people, and the people, in turn, impact the world around them. The question then is: what are you doing with the Word of God that you have received? You must not only live it out but also teach and influence others by it.
God has called you the salt of the earth. Salt gives flavor and preserves. Believers are meant to bring life, meaning, and preservation to those around them. But if the salt loses its taste, of what use is it? It is time for believers to return to their true identity by living well and faithfully. Within your sphere of influence, share the Word of God you have received-the newness of life, the benefits of salvation, and the authority we have in Christ. In doing this, you become a vessel of honour, fit for the Master’s use. Remember, the measure of your faithfulness is not in what you keep for yourself, but in how widely you sow the Word. The more you commit it to others, the more God magnifies its fruit in your life and the lives of all who receive it. Shalom.
PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for Your word that is life to me. I commit to living out Your word in every area of my life, and I dedicate myself to spreading the gospel and advancing Your kingdom here on earth. May all men come to know that You alone are the true God, embracing genuine salvation in Christ Jesus. Amen.
