JOHN 13:17
“If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.”
KEYWORD: When you actively engage in the practice of God’s Word, there is no place you will find yourself where you cannot succeed.
In these last days, it is becoming increasingly difficult to live as a Christian among people who are lovers of themselves more than lovers of God. Knowing this, you must also understand that Christianity is a personal walk. In other words, what you become is largely determined by the choices you make. This is why the Word of God must be your first point of reference in every area of your life. You must not only read, study, and meditate on it, you must actively engage in the practice of the Word of God in everything you do.
Practicing God’s Word also requires willingness and humility. You must be willing to allow the Word to correct, refine, and shape your life. There will be times when the Word confronts areas of your life that need to change. Rather than resisting, you are called to surrender. This surrender is not a sign of weakness but of strength because it allows God to mould you into a vessel that reflects His character and glory and makes you fit for His use. Simply put, the Word of God is meant to be lived out. It carries transforming power that can change and lift your life through the Holy Spirit at work within you. All God requires from you is to trust Him, believe His Word, and obey it.
When you actively engage in the practice of God’s Word, there is no place you will find yourself where you cannot succeed. Why? Because the Word is Spirit and it is life. It brings life to every area of your life, leaving nothing spiritually dead. Even when something appears dead, the Word quickens and restores it to life. It creates, renews, and makes all things new. It is the Word that makes the man, not the place, because we are born of the incorruptible Word of God. Practicing God’s Word brings His blessings, the kind that make rich and add no sorrow. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word, which is life, truth, and guidance to my soul. Thank You for the transforming power of Your Word at work in me. Help me not to be a hearer only but a faithful doer of Your Word. Grant me the grace to obey Your instructions wholeheartedly and to live according to Your truth every day. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

JAMES 1:22–25
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
LUKE 11:28
“But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
