REVELATION 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
KEYWORD: The more a man grows in truth, true fellowship with the Spirit and discernment, the less room Satan has to manipulate or deceive him.
There is a consciousness with which every believer must live and serve the Lord in these perilous times. The days we are in demand spiritual alertness and discernment because we have an adversary, Satan. Therefore, you must know how he operates and how to resist him through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Just as you grow in the revelation of God, His Spirit, and His Kingdom, you must also understand that Satan remains the enemy of humanity and the opposer of God’s purposes. Scripture reveals him as a deceiver whose goal is to draw men away from truth and into destruction.
Job’s story reveals that there are spiritual realities behind many battles men face. Though Job did not initially understand all that was happening, God ultimately brought him into deeper understanding and restoration. This reminds us that believers must walk with spiritual discernment and remain steadfast in faith during trials.
Satan thrives in darkness, ignorance, deception, and subtlety. This is why believers must continually walk in the light of God’s Word. The more a man grows in truth, true fellowship with the Spirit and discernment, the less room Satan has to manipulate or deceive him.
Another area where many believers must be careful is human reasoning that exalts itself above God’s instruction. When a man continually leans on natural or human understanding above the wisdom of God, he can unknowingly resist the will of God for his life. This is why Scripture admonishes us to be sober, vigilant, and spiritually watchful at all times.
Do not give place to the enemy through ignorance, carelessness, or unbelief. Stand firm in the Lord, resist the devil through faith and obedience, and remain rooted in the truth of God’s Word. Praise God!
PRAYER:
Thank you, precious Holy Father, for your love and mercies. Thank you for the influence of your Spirit upon my life, building my spiritual understanding and sensitivity and giving no room to the wicked one, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
