2 PETER 2:14-15 “Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;”
KEYWORD: If you are a Christian who feels unstable in your walk with God, now is the time to draw closer to Him and ask for strength so that your heart will not be turned away.
Children of God, the enemy is real and is no longer hiding. If you have been observing current happenings in the world today, you will realize that even as God has revealed to the Church that the end is near, the enemy is also aware and is doing everything possible to turn more people away from the faith. What better method could he use than to make people become adulterers within the Church? Through worldly wisdom and enticing counsel, the enemy has seduced many into forsaking God’s chosen path and following after ungodly practices.
These practices may seem innocent on the surface, but they are designed to draw a man away from God and deeper into darkness. Those who are part of Satan’s agenda see nothing but sin and the desire to indulge in it continually. They focus their attention on corrupting as many as possible, and those who are already drawn away by their own covetous desires often yield easily. This is why Jesus expressly warned against the spirit of mammon. It is that same spirit that contends with the Spirit of God for the heart of a man. If a man is not spiritually sensitive, he can become a slave to mammon and gradually drift into spiritual adultery.
The end of an adulterer is not pleasant. Anyone who continually turns away from God and embraces the ways of the world places himself in a dangerous position. This is why every believer must guard his heart diligently and remain steadfast in fellowship with the Lord. If you are a Christian who feels unstable in your walk with God, now is the time to draw closer to Him and ask for strength so that your heart will not be turned away. Ask for mercy, grace, and help without shame. God is faithful to uphold those who depend on Him. The devil is not joking, therefore you must remain watchful and steadfast in the faith. Shalom!
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I surrender my heart to You today and ask for strength, grace, and mercy. I need Your help in this season of my life, knowing that without You the enemy can easily deceive me. Keep my heart fixed on You and help me to walk continually in Your light and truth. Preserve me from every form of spiritual adultery and keep me faithful to You all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

2 PETER 2:18-19 “For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.”
2 PETER 2:20-21 “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.”
