PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA
KEY SCRIPTURE: “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by his fruit.” Matthew 12:33
KEYWORD: You have the potency to change any situation by speaking the right words from your mouth.
God’s greatest desire for us, His children, is that we store up His Word in our Spirit. The word of God is the only thing that has no tendency to fail when spoken, heard or declared over a situation. That is where direction, wisdom, and a life of success come from.
When Jesus said, “You make a tree good or corrupt,” it means that you can determine the course of your life by speaking the word; whatever you speak to and over yourself is what you will become. What you store up in your heart and constantly talk to yourself about becomes the fruit of your lips. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” (AMP) When you are faced with challenges in life- health issues, financial issues, and any situation that is contrary to what God says about you, your response to that situation reveals what the abundance of your heart is, for how you respond with your tongue by speaking, over time becomes your life.
Joel 3:10 says, “…Let the weak say I am strong.” Isaiah 33:24 also says, “And no inhabitant (of Zion) will say. “I am sick”….” (AMP). When you have these words dwelling in your spirit and find yourself in a state of weakness, the first thing that will come out of your mouth is the good Word you have deposited in your spirit by cultivating a healthy study life. Even when you try to speak otherwise, the only things that will come of your mouth will be, “I’m healed, I’m strong, I shall not die, but live to declare the works of my Father.” Hallelujah!
Scripture says that for every idle word that men speak, they shall give an account of it on the day of judgment. Idle words are empty words that are void of faith and power. So, on the days of challenges, your words will become the results of your life. In the days of adversity, whether you will suffer the consequences of the issues you are facing is based on the word that proceeds from your mouth. You have the potency to change any situation by speaking the right words from your mouth. If your life is void of what God is saying concerning you, ask yourself these questions: “What are the words of my mouth, and what kind of words do I speak over my life in the face of challenges?” Then, go back and allow the word of God to dominate your spirit, declare it daily over your life, and see how everything will begin to turn around for good for you. Remain blessed!
PRAYER:
My spirit is dominated by the truth of God’s word. I speak and confess it daily in my career, business, health, and everything that concerns me. And it produces marvellous results in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
