THE RAPTURE AND SPIRITUAL READINESS (III)

MATTHEW 24:21–22 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

KEYWORD: The coming of the Lord is nearer than many realize. Therefore, let your heart remain steadfast, your faith remain strong, and your eyes remain fixed upon Jesus.

The Scriptures reveal that a time of unprecedented trouble will come upon the earth. Jesus described it as a period of great tribulation unlike anything the world has ever experienced. During this season, the person of the Antichrist will be revealed and will exalt himself against God.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 KJV says, “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” This man will seek to take the place that belongs only to God. He will deceive many and lead multitudes into rebellion against the truth.

The Bible also tells us that his coming will be accompanied by satanic power, signs, and lying wonders.

2 Thessalonians 2:8–9 KJV says, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.”

One of the greatest dangers of the last days will be deception. Many people will be persuaded by what they see rather than by the truth of God’s Word. This is why believers must remain grounded in Scripture and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The wise will not be carried away by every appearance of power, because they will test all things by the Word of God.

Daniel 12:10 KJV says, “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”

The systems of the world continue to advance and become increasingly interconnected. While Scripture does not reveal every detail of how future events will unfold, it does make clear that a time is coming when economic activity will be closely connected to allegiance to the beast system.

Revelation 13:17 KJV says, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

The purpose of prophecy is not to create fear but to awaken readiness. God wants His people to remain watchful, discerning, and devoted to Him. If you have drifted from the Lord, return wholeheartedly to Him. If you are not saved, do not postpone your decision. If you are already walking with Christ, continue to grow in your fellowship with Him and keep your spiritual fire burning.

The coming of the Lord is nearer than many realize. Therefore, let your heart remain steadfast, your faith remain strong, and your eyes remain fixed upon Jesus. Shalom.

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, I remain steadfast in my devotion to You. I receive grace to love You, serve You, and follow You all the days of my life. Let my heart continually burn with passion for Your Word and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Keep me watchful, faithful, and prepared for Your coming. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

REVELATION 13:17 “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

REVELATION 13:5–7

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
