1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV)“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

KEYWORD: As a believer, let your faith be alive always. Let your love for God, soul winning and kingdom expansion not be unwavering or grow cold.

The rapture of the saints is one of the signs of the end of the age, not the end of the age itself. At the rapture—the catching up of the saints—not everyone will hear the sound because it is a sound of the Spirit. It will be audible to all Christians, but the truth is, not all Christians are sensitive to the leading of the Spirit, hence some might not hear the sound of the last trump.
The scripture says “the last trump,” meaning different trumpets have sounded on various occasions, but we on earth are unable to hear them because they are spiritual sounds. This is a call to sensitivity and discernment for Christians globally because the time is near. Why does the scripture say one will be taken and the other left behind? It all boils down to the sensitivity and faith of the individual. It is God’s desire for all Christians to be caught up at the last trump, but faith is required.
Hebrews 11:5 says “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”
Enoch was raptured by faith, meaning the sound of the trumpet will also be heard by faith. This is why not everyone will hear it—especially those of the world who are not born again. To the world, the rapture will cause great confusion because there will be no scientific proof or explanation for what will happen. They will tag it as an alien invasion. But to us, the church, we will know exactly what has happened for we will be very much aware that we have been caught up in glory to be with the Lord. Hallelujah!
So as a believer, let your faith be alive always. Let your love for God, soul winning and kingdom expansion not be unwavering or grow cold. Let everything about your life and your relationship with God be on fire. With these and more, there is no way you will miss the sound of the trumpet. Walk in love and righteousness always. Take your soul-winning, evangelism and kingdom involvement seriously and prepare others also for the rapture. The Lord be with you and cause you to walk in His wisdom always. Amen.

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, My faith is alive to You always. My love for You and Your kingdom is unwavering. I am prepared always with joy, knowing I will be with You, reigning in the new heaven and earth. Thank You Lord, Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
