EXODUS 3:2-3 “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.”

KEYWORD: Truth never jumps at the casual observer; it is revealed to those who search.

There are certain divine encounters in life that come as precursors to seasons of change, and if not properly discerned, can easily be missed. These are not regular happenings; they come with a stirring in your spirit, a shift in your atmosphere, or a sudden awareness that something greater is beckoning. When such moments arise, they are not to be casually dismissed or explained away. They are divine invitations, harbingers of destiny.

Moses, as seen in our opening scripture, was on a seemingly normal assignment, tending his father-in-law’s flock. It was probably a route he had taken countless times before. But on this particular day, something extraordinary happened. A bush was burning with fire, yet it was not consumed. That wasn’t just nature acting strange; that was God initiating contact.

Most people would have fled in fear or brushed it off as an oddity. But not Moses. He said something profound: “I will now turn aside and see…” That decision changed his life. That simple desire to investigate, to seek understanding, led him into a divine encounter that not only altered the course of his life but also the destiny of a nation.

This year, God will show you things. Don’t ignore the moments that seem unusual. Don’t rush past the promptings that make your spirit pause. Learn to turn aside and enquire. Learn to seek. Truth never jumps at the casual observer; it is revealed to those who search. There are burning bushes God will place along your path: divine interruptions meant to get your attention. Don’t ignore them. Pay attention to these moments, because in them lie the keys to the next season of your life. They are not random occurrences; they are God-ordained invitations to step into deeper dimensions with Him. Be sensitive, be discerning, and above all, be yielded. When He speaks, act according to His directions and instructions without delay or doubt. In your obedience lies the change you’ve prayed for. Shalom!

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for showing me that divine encounters often begin with small signs. Help me to be sensitive, spiritually alert, and willing to turn aside to seek You whenever You call my attention. I declare that I will not miss the invitations of the Spirit this year, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
