FAITH RESPONDS

HEBREWS 11:8–9 “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:”

KEYWORD: The kingdom of God advances through men and women who are determined to believe God and act upon His Word.

Many times, people say they believe the Word of God, yet they do not see the manifestation of what God has promised because they remain in a place of waiting without responding to what they believe (The Word). Sometimes you hear people say, “I am believing God for this or that,” and that is where it ends.

Faith is more than mere belief, and it is different from hope. Hope expects, but faith responds. Faith is not merely agreeing with God’s Word. Faith is your response to what God has said. What is that situation you are trusting God to change? Your actions, when they align with God’s Word, reveal whether your faith is active or not.

From our opening scripture, Abraham did not leave because he had all the details. Neither did he move in confusion. The Scripture is teaching us the nature of faith. Abraham responded to God’s instruction even though he did not know exactly where he was going. He moved because he had confidence in the One who spoke.

Abraham acted on the assurance of God’s Word. The moment God’s Word becomes real to you and you begin to act upon it, faith is at work. Faith is revealed through obedience to divine instruction.

Many people are waiting for God to do something before they move, while God is waiting for them to respond to what He has already said. Faith takes hold of God’s promise and moves accordingly.

Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us. As we trust His Word and respond in obedience, we cooperate with His power at work within us.

The kingdom of God advances through men and women who are determined to believe God and act upon His Word. They lay hold of their inheritance in Christ through steadfast faith and unwavering obedience.

Therefore, do not remain in the place of hesitation. Take the faith action that God has placed in your heart. Continue in it without wavering until you see the manifestation of His promise. I urge you today to move forward. You may not see the next miracle until you take the next step of faith. Shalom.

PRAYER:
Heavenly King of glory, thank You for the gift of faith. Teach me to trust You enough to take steps of obedience, even when the path is not clear and give me the courage to act on Your Word always In Jesus’ name, Amen.
