FIGHT THE FIGHT OF FAITH

1 TIMOTHY 6:12 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
KEYWORD: The key to sustaining your faith is staying rooted in God’s Word. This is because the Word of God fuels your faith (Romans 10:17) and equips you with truth to stand against life’s challenges.
As a son of God, do not settle for whatever life brings your way. Take hold of what God has made available to you. To do that, you must be a fighter, fighting the good fight of faith, your strong conviction and belief in God, His Word, and His promises. Fighting the fight of faith begins with understanding that faith itself is not passive. It is active, intentional, and often requires patience. In our opening verse, Apostle Paul urges us to “fight the good fight of faith” and to lay hold on the eternal life to which we are called.
The fight of faith has nothing to do with fighting the devil physically. Neither is it a fight against people. It is a fight against doubt, fear, discouragement, and the pressures of life that seek to pull you away from trusting God. It is bringing your mind into subjection to God’s Word and holding on to His victory despite unpleasant circumstances until what God has spoken becomes your reality. When you have not yet seen what you desire, do not quit. Remain steadfast. God is faithful, and His promises never fail. Sometimes your faith is being tested and strengthened as you continue to trust Him.
In the testing of your faith, spiritual strength is built. The key to sustaining your faith is staying rooted in God’s Word. This is because the Word of God fuels your faith (Romans 10:17) and equips you with truth to stand against life’s challenges. When you regularly meditate on the Word, it becomes easier to recognize lying vanities and resist doubt and discouragement. The Word anchors you and gives you stability when everything else feels uncertain. It reminds you of God’s promises and His faithfulness through every season.
This is where your victory comes from. When you know the will of God concerning a matter, even when your circumstances are saying otherwise, you stand firmly on His Word and insist on its manifestation. That is faith. Faith is what God honours. Faith is what moves mountains. Hallelujah! So keep fighting until you win. Keep standing until your faith prevails, because it surely will if you do not give up. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the victory and triumph You have given me in Christ Jesus. I refuse to be controlled by circumstances or left to chance. I choose to stand and live by Your Word. Strengthen my faith, help me to remain steadfast, and cause me to prevail in every area of my life, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
