DESIRED LEADERSHIP FROM THE LORD

2 CHRONICLES 6:40–41 “Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.”

KEYWORD: As a believer, the Lord desires more than occasional attention. He desires leadership in your life.

“My body is God’s home.” Now say that again to yourself like someone who truly understands it.
Our opening Scripture refers to the moment King Solomon completed the temple of the Lord and dedicated it unto God with sacrifices and prayers, welcoming Him to dwell among His people. Today, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, believers now carry the privilege of becoming God’s dwelling place by His Spirit. What a glorious reality.
The prayer Solomon prayed is one many believers need to pray sincerely in this season. Christ’s death and resurrection made it possible for God not merely to visit man occasionally, but to dwell within him continually. However, many believers have not truly yielded to the leadership that comes with God dwelling in them. Many do not sincerely long for His voice before making decisions, speaking, or acting. Some rarely seek His counsel concerning the affairs of their lives or spend time learning His wisdom through fellowship with Him.
As a result, many live below the fullness of the life God intended for them, struggling anxiously through situations God desires to lead them through with grace, wisdom, and peace. When men like David and Solomon sincerely honoured and served God and prioritized His presence, God’s hand rested mightily upon them. In the same way, God still desires hearts that are yielded, attentive, and devoted to Him.
Romans 12:1 reminds us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice unto God. This means our lives should become vessels through which His will, leadership, and nature are expressed daily. The Lord desires more than occasional attention. He desires leadership in your life. He wants to guide your steps, shape your decisions, and reveal His wisdom to you continually. Allow Him to lead you today, and see how your life will become a living proof of God’s love and faithfulness. Glory to God!

PRAYER:
Father Lord, I trust you with my life today and desire to have you take the reins over my life. I have lived an average life instead of the excellent path you have chosen to give me. Today, I surrender my body and mind to you to use as you will, in Jesus’ name.
