HEBREWS 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
KEYWORD: When we choose to believe God’s Word even when circumstances appear contrary, we demonstrate trust, confidence, and dependence upon Him.
Believing is one of the most powerful forces in the life of a believer. It is the foundation of faith and the beginning of a deep relationship with God. Faith starts with believing that God is who He says He is and that His Word is true.
It is through believing that we receive salvation and eternal life in Christ. It is through believing that we come to know God, though no man has seen Him physically. Yet through faith, countless men and women have encountered His power, presence, and reality in their lives. It is also through believing that we receive the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Believing remains central to the life of faith.
Jesus said in John 20:29, “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” If believing is foundational to faith, then unbelief becomes a major hindrance in a believer’s walk with God. Hebrews 11:6 clearly says that without faith it is impossible to please Him. Scripture also teaches that the man who doubts is unstable and should not expect to receive from the Lord. Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
When we choose to believe God’s Word even when circumstances appear contrary, we demonstrate trust, confidence, and dependence upon Him. This act opens the door to God’s help, mercy, wisdom, and power.
Throughout Scripture, believing consistently activated manifestations of God’s power. The blind received sight, the sick were healed, and impossible situations turned around because someone dared to believe God. Faith does not deny reality, but it acknowledges that God’s authority is greater than every situation.
Therefore, let your belief in God remain steadfast and unwavering. Trust His Word completely, and He will guide, strengthen, and uphold you through every season of life. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of faith and for reminding me that believing in You unlocks the door to Your power. Help me to trust in Your Word, even when circumstances seem uncertain. Strengthen my heart so that doubt and unbelief find no place within me. Fill me with confidence in Your promises and the assurance that You are always working for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
