THE DECEPTION OF THE DEVIL (II)

1 THESSALONIANS 5:21 “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

KEYWORD: If you find yourself holding on to anything that does not align with Scripture, be willing to let it go and return fully to the truth.

The strategy of the devil against humanity has not changed. His aim is to deceive and lead the children of light away from the truth, because when a believer begins to walk contrary to God’s Word, they become vulnerable to error and its consequences. If you remain grounded in God’s Word, the enemy may try, but he will not easily gain ground in your life. However, if he succeeds in drawing you away from the truth and into compromise, that is where confusion and destruction begin. In Ecclesiastes 10:8, the Scripture says, “He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” This shows that when spiritual boundaries are removed, exposure follows.
Satan has never had good intentions toward man. Scripture reveals him as a deceiver and a destroyer. The hope he presents is often a disguise, and what he offers always leads away from God. Many today, under the influence of various ideologies and teachings, believe they are walking in freedom, not realizing that they are stepping into error. This is why there is a call to return, to separate from what is not of God, and to walk in truth.
As 1 John 4:1 says,“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…” How then do you test the spirits? By the Word of God. The Word remains the only sure standard. It has stood through generations and will never fail. The question is always this: What does Scripture say?
Many teachings may sound appealing, but they must be examined. What is their message? What do they promote? Do they align with God’s truth, or do they subtly shift your focus away from Him? Some teachings have been twisted over time, and many believers struggle to discern the difference because they do not study the Scriptures personally. But the instruction is clear. Try the spirits. Test everything in the light of God’s Word.
In 1 John 4:2 to 3, we are given a guide. Every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ rightly is of God, and anything that denies Him stands opposed to the truth. When you see such teachings spreading, be discerning. Do not follow blindly. Stay rooted in God’s Word. This is a call to awareness. If you find yourself holding on to anything that does not align with Scripture, be willing to let it go and return fully to the truth. Walk in the light, and you will not be overtaken by deception.

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, we bring before You nations, individuals, families, and spouses who are under the influence of Satan’s web through ignorance, deceit, or demonic oppression. Let there be deliverance now, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
