ISAIAH 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn…”
KEYWORD: Those who belong to God are ultimately under His covering and authority.
The opening Scripture declares that every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned. The tongue is a powerful instrument. Through it, blessings are released, and through it, words of opposition are also spoken. Every tongue is a vessel of expression. The words spoken by men can either align with God’s purpose or stand in opposition to it. This is why Scripture consistently warns us about the weight of words. You must understand that words carry influence, but they do not stand above the authority of God. Enchantment, divination, and evil declarations operate through spoken words, but they are still subject to the higher authority of God’s will.
God, in His wisdom, has given His people a covenant assurance of protection and victory. As the Scripture says in Book of Isaiah 54:17, “This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD.” This means that the servant of God is not left defenseless in the face of opposition. When this Word is believed and embraced, it becomes alive in your consciousness and strengthens your confidence in God. It is not just information, but truth that establishes your heart.
The Scripture assures us that every tongue that rises against God’s people in judgment will not have the final say. God Himself becomes the defender of His Word and His covenant people.
In Book of Numbers 22:5 to 6, we see Balak seeking Balaam to curse Israel. Yet Israel could not be cursed because they were under covenant. What was intended as a curse was turned into blessing. This reveals a spiritual principle. Those who belong to God are ultimately under His covering and authority. No opposing word has the final authority over what God has spoken concerning them. Hallelujah.
