ISAIAH 60:22 “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.”
KEYWORD: Growth is not optional, it is necessary. There are dimensions of responsibility, influence, and impact that require a certain level of maturity and capacity.
God is a God of increase, and He is able to enlarge a man beyond his present state. However, while God initiates growth, you must position yourself to grow in capacity so you can sustain what He brings into your life. Your capacity is your ability to receive, handle, and effectively steward what God entrusts to you. It determines how far you can go in your walk with Him and how much responsibility you can carry.
You must be intentional about the growth taking place within you. While God is willing, your participation and willingness matters. Your faith plays a major role here; not because God is limited, but because your experience of His workings in your life is often shaped by your faith. Romans 10:17 shows us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. This means your faith grows as you stay consistently in the Word and respond to it.
At the same time, your faith is strengthened when it is exercised. Challenges often present opportunities for growth. When situations arise, do you respond with faith: seeking God in prayer, aligning with His Word, and taking Spirit-led action, or do you shrink back in fear and uncertainty? Your response determines your growth.
As your faith grows, your capacity increases. You begin to outgrow former limitations; whether in your assignments, your thinking, your finances, or your personal development. What once overwhelmed you will no longer have the same effect, because you have grown beyond that level. You must also learn to engage your assignment through prayer and obedience. Do not approach it casually or only based on comfort. Seek God’s direction and carry it out as He has purposed. This is how capacity is built and strengthened.
Growth is not optional, it is necessary. There are dimensions of responsibility, influence, and impact that require a certain level of maturity and capacity. As you grow, you become better positioned to handle what God brings your way and to walk effectively in your purpose. Therefore, refuse to remain stagnant. Commit yourself to growth in faith, in understanding, and in your walk with God. As you do, you will see the hand of God enlarge you, and in His time, He will bring increase that aligns with the capacity you have developed. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Thank You, precious Holy Father. I receive grace to be resilient, to grow, and to increase steadily in the capacity You have brought me into at every point in time, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
