HEBREWS 13:9 “Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace…”

KEYWORD: Any teaching that is not rooted in Christ must be approached with discernment. It does not matter how appealing or widely accepted it may be. The standard remains the Word of God.

The opening Scripture admonishes us not to be carried away by strange doctrines, but to have our hearts established in grace. If the children of God will give themselves to the study of the Word, they will not be easily deceived or carried away by every new teaching that arises. God, in His wisdom, has already provided what we need through His Word so that we can stand firm in truth.
In Romans 16:17 to 18, the Scripture says, “Mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.” This is a call to discernment. Not every message that sounds good is rooted in truth. Some teachings appeal to the flesh and emotions, but they draw people away from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Many ideas and movements in the world today promote beliefs that are not aligned with the doctrine of Christ. One example is the suggestion that all religions lead to the same end. While this may sound peaceful and inclusive, it does not align with what Scripture teaches about Christ as the way. This is why we must remain grounded. As Colossians 2:8 warns, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit… and not after Christ.”
Any teaching that is not rooted in Christ must be approached with discernment. It does not matter how appealing or widely accepted it may be. The standard remains the Word of God.
To be established in grace means more than knowing about God. It means being rooted in Him, strengthened in truth, and guided by His Spirit. This kind of stability keeps you from being moved by every new idea or doctrine. As believers, we must remain grounded in Scripture, continually learning, growing, and aligning our hearts with the truth. When your heart is established in grace, you will not be easily shaken. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, I refuse to be carried away by the spirits of these last days. My heart is established in Your truth and grounded in Your Word. I am led by Your Spirit, and I hold fast only to the doctrine of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

JOHN 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

EPHESIANS 4:14–15 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine…But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”
